Gregorian a Kongresszusiban

Ki mondta, hogy a csizma nem való az asztalra? Nagyot tévedett. A Gregorian szerint az ősi kolostorok mormogó papi zsolozsmája bárminemű gond nélkül hozható közös nevezőre a rakkenrollal.

A kilencvenes évek hajnalán az Enigma ügyesen kombinálta a középkori szakrális muzsikát és a legújabb kori hangzást. Újszerű megközelítés született. Az más kérdés, hogy az évek során aztán egyre kommerszebbé vált a produkció, de a Sadeness Pt. akkor is a kor egyik emblematikus száma maradt.

Az ősatya, Frank Peterson a kezdeti sikereken felbuzdulva az évtized végén aztán ismét zenei kalandozásba kezdett. A Gregorian ötlete állítólag onnan ered, hogy egy apátság előtt állva középkori dallamokat hallott kiszűrődni, miközben walkmanjén épp valami hetvenes rock szólt. 

Azóta bővült a paletta. A Coldplay, a Depeche Mode, a Metallica, a Nine Inch Nails, a Rammstein vagy épp az AC/DC számai is bekerültek a feldolgozások közé. A előadáson persze nemcsak egy gregorián kórust látunk és hallunk majd, hanem igazi show várható pazar látvánnyal, szimfonikus zenekarral, női kórussal és rockegyüttessel. A Gregoriannak az idén jelent meg egy összegző bestof válogatása, így nyilván a koncerten is a legjobbak hangzanak el.
