"If the EARTH and the ANIMALS could talk to the HUMAN MONKEYS, this is what they would have to say..."
Deep within the shadows, I'm the hungry
wolf you fear
But I can see that you're the only evil creature
here
Before you came we lived in peace but you brought us death
I
sing my pain up to the moon but it's a waste of breath.
Because
I don't speak human...You can't understand a word I'm saying I
don't speak human...You can't understand a word I'm saying
Upon
a wing, a flying thing, to you I seem so small
But I look down on
what you've done, my raven's eye sees all
You people like a cancer
grow, destroying all you see
and 7 billion mutant monkeys, won't
listen to me
Because I don't speak human...You can't
understand a word I'm saying I don't speak human...You can't
understand a word I'm saying
I won't run this human race, your
war is not for me
I hear the voices from the wild, they thought me
how to see
It's us who are the strangers here and we don't own the
land
My words they fall upon deaf ears, cause no-one
understands
Because I don't speak human...You can't understand
a word I'm saying I don't speak human...You can't understand a
word I'm saying
Now you tell me that i'm wrong and animals
don't feel
you say the earth is not alive and only we are real
You
try to tell me to behave, that I must act like you
But I just
stick my fingers in my ears and say ''Fuck you!!!''
'Cause I
don't speak human! I can't understand a word you're saying!
Because
I don't speak human...I can't understand a word you're saying.
I
don't speak human... I can't understand a word you're saying. Because
I don't speak human... I can't understand a word you're saying I
don't speak human... I can't understand a word you're saying.
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I
pondered weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of
forgotten lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there
came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my
chamber door. `'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my
chamber door - Only this, and nothing more.'
Ah, distinctly
I remember it was in the bleak December, And each separate dying
ember wrought its ghost upon the floor. Eagerly I wished the
morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow From my books surcease of
sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore - For the rare and radiant
maiden whom the angels named Lenore - Nameless here for
evermore.
And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple
curtain Thrilled me - filled me with fantastic terrors never felt
before; So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood
repeating `'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber
door - Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door;
- This it is, and nothing more,'
Presently my soul grew
stronger; hesitating then no longer, `Sir,' said I, `or Madam,
truly your forgiveness I implore; But the fact is I was napping,
and so gently you came rapping, And so faintly you came tapping,
tapping at my chamber door, That I scarce was sure I heard you' -
here I opened wide the door; - Darkness there, and nothing
more.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there
wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared
to dream before; But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness
gave no token, And the only word there spoken was the whispered
word, `Lenore!' This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the
word, `Lenore!' Merely this and nothing more.
Back into the
chamber turning, all my soul within me burning, Soon again I heard
a tapping somewhat louder than before. `Surely,' said I, `surely
that is something at my window lattice; Let me see then, what
thereat is, and this mystery explore - Let my heart be still a
moment and this mystery explore; - 'Tis the wind and nothing
more!'
Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt
and flutter, In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days
of yore. Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or
stayed he; But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my
chamber door - Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber
door - Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Then this ebony
bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling, By the grave and stern
decorum of the countenance it wore, `Though thy crest be shorn and
shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven. Ghastly grim and
ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore - Tell me what thy
lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!' Quoth the raven,
`Nevermore.'
Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear
discourse so plainly, Though its answer little meaning - little
relevancy bore; For we cannot help agreeing that no living human
being Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door
- Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber
door, With such name as `Nevermore.'
But the raven, sitting
lonely on the placid bust, spoke only, That one word, as if his
soul in that one word he did outpour. Nothing further then he
uttered - not a feather then he fluttered - Till I scarcely more
than muttered `Other friends have flown before - On the morrow he
will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.' Then the bird said,
`Nevermore.'
Startled at the stillness broken by reply so
aptly spoken, `Doubtless,' said I, `what it utters is its only
stock and store, Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful
disaster Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one
burden bore - Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden
bore Of "Never-nevermore."'
But the raven still
beguiling all my sad soul into smiling, Straight I wheeled a
cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door; Then, upon the
velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking Fancy unto fancy,
thinking what this ominous bird of yore - What this grim,
ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore Meant in
croaking `Nevermore.'
This I sat engaged in guessing, but no
syllable expressing To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into
my bosom's core; This and more I sat divining, with my head at
ease reclining On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light
gloated o'er, But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light
gloating o'er, She shall press, ah, nevermore!
Then,
methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer Swung
by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor. `Wretch,'
I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent
thee Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of
Lenore! Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost
Lenore!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
`Prophet!' said I,
`thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! - Whether
tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate
yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted - On this home by
horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore - Is there - is there
balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!' Quoth the raven,
`Nevermore.'
`Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet
still, if bird or devil! By that Heaven that bends above us - by
that God we both adore - Tell this soul with sorrow laden if,
within the distant Aidenn, It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom
the angels named Lenore - Clasp a rare and radiant maiden, whom
the angels named Lenore?' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
`Be
that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting
- `Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian
shore! Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath
spoken! Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my
door! Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off
my door!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
And the raven,
never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid
bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all
the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming, And the lamp-light o'er
him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out
that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted -
nevermore!
Edgar Alen Poe
A holló
(Kosztolányi Dezső fordítása)
Egyszer elmúlt régen éjfél, ültem
álmos lámpafénynél,
Régi, bűvös fóliánson tétovázott a
kezem,
S hogy nehéz fejem lehajtom, észrevétlen koppan
ajtóm,
Roppan félve és sóhajtón, zaj motoz a reteszen;
"Éji
vándor", így susogtam, "az babrál a reteszen;
Az lehet, más senkisem."
Télidő volt, bús december, amilyent
nem ért meg ember,
Nőtt az árnyék, lomha tenger, a parázstól
veresen.
Lelkem a bánattól óván, olvastam az éji órán,
Hogy
feledjem holt Lenórám, fényes-régi kedvesem,
Már az angyalok
között van fényes-égi kedvesem,
Itt lenn nincsen neve sem.
Most a függöny bíbor öble
megborzad, zizeg zörögve.
Félelemnek tőre szúrja - fúrja
által a szivem.
Nyugtatom és egyre dobban, várok és ver egyre
jobban:
"Éji vándor áll ajtómban, az motoz a
reteszen.
Éji vendég vár ajtómban, az babrál a reteszen,
Az lehet, más semmisem."
Hirtelen felbátorultam és hadartam
elborultan:
"Megbocsásson jó uram, vagy asszonyom, de azt
hiszem,
roppant,
A babráló, halk, lopott hang nem hallatszott
sebtiben."
Erre felnyitom az ajtót - szétvigyázva
sebtiben: -
Künn
az éj, más semmisem.
A sűrű sötétbe nézek, álmodok
vadat, merészet,
Mint az őrült, mint a részeg, bódorogva
kétesen.
Csöndes az éjféli óra, szám susogja csak:
"Lenóra"
S a visszhang a drága szóra halkan hívja
kedvesem,
Hívja-hívja, hívogatja, szólogatja kedvesem -
A visszhang, más semmisem.
A szobámba már fehéren mentem
vissza, forrt a vérem,
a záron;
Most az ablakot kitárom, az okát
megkeresem;
Csöndesülj szív, tébolyult szív, az okát
megkeresem:
Zúg
a szél, más semmisem."
Nyílik az ablak s az árnnyal
méltóságosan beszárnyal
Óriási lomha szárnnyal egy vén
holló peckesen.
S mintha mi se volna ebben, a viharnál
sebesebben
A szobám szobrára lebben s úgy ül ott, mint a
lesen,
Szólt a Holló: "Sohasem."
Bámultam, hogy jár a nyelve és
folyékonyan, perelve,
Annyi szent, hogy locskaszáju - nem beszél
értelmesen;
Mégis furcsa, hogy e bátor csúnyatorku
prédikátor
Beröpül az éjszakából, bár nincs semmi oka
sem,
A szobám szobrára ül le, bár nincs semmi oka sem
És úgy hívják:
"Sohasem."
És a Holló vár komorlón a fehér és
néma szobron
S ez egy szóba lelke rezgett, reszketett
rejtelmesen,
sem;
Minden elszállt, ez is elszáll - nem örök a csoda sem."
-
A madár szólt:
"Sohasem."
Felriadtam, mert oly száraz,
kurta-furcsa volt e válasz,
"Bamba szajkó", így
beszéltem, "nincsen egy ép sora sem.
Bús különc volt a
gazdája, biztosan az kapatta rája,
Folyton erre járt a szája
és hörgött keservesen.
Benne lelke átka zörgött és hörgött
keservesen,
Hogy
már többé: "Sohasem."
Még nevettem, hogy az ében holló ott
ül feketében
S párnás, mély zsöllyém elébe görditettem
sebesen;
Bojttal-rojttal elmotoztam és a zsibbadt csöndbe
hosszan
Tépelődtem, álmodoztam, mért néz e két
csodaszem,
Mért mered rám e két sanda, kúsza, kósza
csodaszem,
Mért
károgja: "Sohasem."
Lestem a sötét madárra, szótlanul
vigyázva-várva,
S a szemével a szivembe szúrt le - fúrt le
tüzesen:
Süppedő bársonyra dűltem s a violafény
köd-ülten
Lengedezve szállt körültem, himbálgatta
mécsesem,
Itten ült ő, itt a párnán, pislogott a mécsesem
S ah, nem ül le, sohasem!
Most egyszerre száz ezüstből
angyalok csapatja füstöl,
Száll a tömjén, cseng a léptük,
trilláz a nesz édesen!
"Angyalok, hát végre Isten
elküldött, hogy megsegítsen,
Elfeledni régi kincsem, eltemetni
kedvesem,
Elfeledni, eltemetni régi-égi kedvesem!"
Szólt a Holló: "Sohasem."
"Jós! felelj nekem",
könyörgök, "bármi légy, angyal, vagy ördög,
Kit
szobámba vert az orkán és kisértesz rémesen,
Mondd meg itt e
szörnyü házban - hol a Rémekkel csatáztam -
Hol a Borzalom s
a Láz van - nincs sebemre moha sem?
Nincs-e, nincs-e ír
szivemre? nincs gyógyító moha sem?"
Szólt a Holló: "Sohasem."
"Jós! felelj nekem",
könyörgök, "bármi légy, angyal, vagy ördög,
Kérlek a
Mindenhatóra, mondd meg végre kegyesen,
Lát-e engem még a
Kedves, aki most a mennybe repdes,
Hajlik-e még e szerelmes
szívre régi kedvesem,
Hajlik-e még e szerelmes szívre égi
kedvesem?"
Szólt a Holló: "Sohasem."
"Pusztulj innen a pokolba",
orditottam fuldokolva,
Szállj a károgó viharba, vár a bús Éj
Partja lenn!
Szólt a Holló: "Sohasem."
meredve hosszan,
Deep within the shadows, I'm the hungry

A zenéjük
Európa-szerte
fesztiválokon lépnek fel,továbbá
színházakban, klubokban Hollandiában és Németországban.
Az OMNIA
zenekar üzenete figyelmeztetés a fogyasztói társadalom negatív
környezeti hatásaira és az emberi faj élőkörnyezetének
megsemmisítését okozó folyamatokra.
Eme üzenetet tolmácsolják a közönség segítségével, a zenei darabokban,
amelyek szövegekre, versekre és beszédekre épülnek. E dalok,
amelyek főként figyelem felkeltését szolgálják, fő látvány
elemmel a "prédikáló" zenekarvezetővel az élen, aki
magát a "pogányság pápájának" hirdette meg - Steve
Sic személyében.
A koncerteken is (eltekintve a zenei háttértől) ismert részükről
a szatirikus humor, gazdag
"Engem is megérintett eme eredetiség. Eredetiség
mutatkozott meg mindkét zenei stílus ötvözéseként, ereditéség
mutatkozott meg az archaikus hangszerelésben és hangszerek
megszólaltatásában (...) az OMNIA e teljesítményével, hit
átéléssel és tudattal élménnyé vált mindenki számára "
- Henkjan
Smits
holland televíziós műsorvezető, tehetségkutató, producer,
zenei tehetségek
felkutatója
az "Idols" TV-programban.
"OMNIA - Igazán szép és egyedi zenét játszik, szuper kedves
emberek a zenekartagok! Nekem nagyon
tetszik :-)! "
- Norra - Corvus Corax / Berlin Beat
"OMNIA
az egyik legeredetibb zenei csoportosulás, akikkel valaha is
összehozott a sors.
egyszerre modern
és
időtlen az időben. "
- Michael McGlynn, ír zeneszerző,
producer, igazgatója
és alapítója az Anuna, Írország Nemzeti Énekkarnak.
"OMNIA
a koncerteken mindig keveréke a tiszta örömnek, eksztatikus
táncnak, a "hippi" nemzedék önkifejezésének, szórakoztató,
sámáni csábítással kombinált politikai nyilatkozatokat
tartalmaz és kellemes fülbemászó zene egyedi hangszereléssel és élő zenei
játékkal fűszerezve. Dalaik kiterjedtek és számos zenei műfajt
foglalnak magukban,
A színpadi képi megjelenés kiemelkedő,
valami
egyedien valóságos és teljesen egyedülálló! "

OMNIA plays "PaganFolk", a
unique form of religious Pagan, Celtic and World
music in
which Nature, the Living Planet and personal freedom of expression
are
the main themes. The rather unusual hand-built acoustic
instruments used by the
band have
been heard on countless Mittelalter, Celtic,Gothic, World and Fantasy
festivals
throughout Europe as well as during OMNIA's tour-performances in
theatres
and clubs in Holland and Germany.
OMNIA is
a self made, self managed band with a definite message of
anticommercialism and warning concerning the destruction of our
environment by the human race.
This message is brought to their audience by means
of the music
pieces
themselves as well as the many texts, poems and speeches in between
songs
which take on the semblance of "preaching" by frontman and
self proclaimed
"pope
of Paganism" Steve Sic.
Their
live performances are (aside from their music) known for satirical
humour,
visual
richness and a very singular Anarchist approach to ancient European
religion
and musical tradition.
Despite
the fact that they are a purely indie-underground band, unconnected
with
any of
the standard record labels and the music industry, OMNIA has managed
to
win the
respect of their peers and to capture the hearts and minds of
audiences of
all ages
and musical preferences worldwide, inspiring many people to greater
creativity
and a deeper understanding of nature and of themselves.
Unlike
most modern bands OMNIA is not merely a music-project to make money;
to
them it
is a way of life and all their compositions express this lifestyle
which
"I was touched by their originality. Originality in both
musical style as choice of
instruments
(...) a performance of Omnia is made an experience for everybody"
-Henkjan
Smits,
Dutch television presenter, talent scout, producer of musical
talent
and jury
president of tv program "Idols"
"OMNIA - That´s really beautiful and unique music played by
super nice people! I
love it
:-)!"
- Norri - Corvus Corax/Berlinski Beat
"Omnia
are one of the most original performing groups that I have ever
encountered. There is a visceral quality to their work, that is
at once contemporary
and
timeless simultaneously."
- Michael McGlynn,
Irish composer,
producer,director
and founder of Anúna, Ireland's National Choir.
"Omnia's
live shows are always a mixture of pure joy, ecstatic dancing, hippie
entertainment
and shamanic seduction combined with political statements and
great, catchy handmade music of course. Their songs cover many

NEW OMNIA LIVE CD!! (coming soon)
Jenny
and me are working at the moment on this super hot sunny summer'z
day, listening to all the live-recordings we made during the 2012
OMNIA "I don't speak human tour" that we brought to Holland
and Germany… we're selecting which songs and which venues we are
going to use for the upcoming OMNIA live-cd! It's kinda warm to be
doing this kind of stuff, but then again millions of people are
forced by some bossman/woman/vogon to slave away in some hot office
behind a p.c just to earn an honest euro/dollar/yen/whatever…so I
count myself fecking lucky that I'm only forced to work only by
YOU…
We're quite enjoying the process of selection because we're
sitting in a sunny room (where we always practice) and when we get
too hot we go into the garden , where the birds are singing and the
bugs are buzzing…and just drop our clothes and jump into the pool!…
gosh every studio should have a swimming pool I think…(thought that
a picture of us working behind the computer/speaker set-up would be a
bit boring, and a picture of us naked in the pool would be much more
entertaining but seriously in danger of censorship…so I opted for
this picture, which I took by accident as I was getting the camera
ready...but still it seems to express the atmosphere… Greenthingz
and sunshine!
